TRNSMT have released a whole host of new information about the festival, coming to Glasgow Green next month.
The most exciting news is that fans have the opportunity to meet Biffy Clyro before their performance on Sunday 9th. Anyone who has purchased a ticket that includes Sunday will automatically be entered and could bring along a friend to hang out with the band at their only Scottish show of the year.
Speaking of Scottish talent, Lewis Capaldi is the latest addition to the King Tut’s stage and will be joining the likes of Declan McKenna, The Amazons and Vukovi on the Sunday.
When it comes to food over the weekend, don’t expect the bog standard burger vans – instead, some of Glasgow’s favourite eateries will be providing top-quality treats. Martha’s will be serving their famously tasty yet healthy food and smoothies, Babu Bombay Street Kitchen have curries covered and Nomad Glasgow will be hand-making pizzas all weekend long. Vegans won’t have to miss out, with Goodness Gracious on site with their famous street food and dessert lovers can get fancy with The Crema Caravan’s crème brûlée. It’s clear that TRNSMT will definitely have a different vibe from T in the Park after taking over its slot this year and trying to shake off some of the wildness it’s become infamous for in recent years.
The festival has also released an app to help everyone make the most of the weekend and keep track of their plans. It features the festival map and all the latest news, and the stage times will be posted on there in the next few weeks.
TRNSMT festival takes place in Glasgow Green 7th-9th July. Tickets on sale now.
