Having won the coveted award for the Best Medium Festival 2016, it was hard to envisage a way that Kendal Calling could top last year’s star-studded line-up. Featuring artists such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Madness, it was always going to be a tough act to follow. However, in the first line-up announcement it became apparent that the Lake District-based festival had managed it.
A staggering six headline acts have been announced; Welsh rock giants Stereophonics and Manic Street Preachers will be joined by Franz Ferdinand, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Tinie Tempah, and music legend Brian Wilson will be playing ‘Pet Sounds’ in its entirety.

Alongside this, a plethora of incredible acts including Slaves, Jake Bugg, and Nothing But Theives will be playing Lowther Deer Park from the 27th-30th of July.
With many more acts to be announced in the coming months, this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting festivals of the summer.
