Palm Trees, Summer vibes and an Eclectic Music Mix: Grinagog finalise day splits

One of this year’s new festivals ‘Grinagog’ (a Devonian term for someone perpetually smiling) has finalised its day splits. A varied mix of acts adds to the Mardi Gras feel of a festival being held in the English Riviera. Torquay is renowned for its sunny micro climate, palm trees and Soccer AM host Helen Chamberlain, this new festival could well become the official launch of the summer.

Headliners are Rat Boy, Arni (from The Vaccines) and Akala along with the usual mass of supporting acts including Torquay’s own Reigning Days. Lots of options on tickets including, unusually, free entry for under 16s on the Sunday suggesting that the organisers are looking for a family friendly vibe. Time will tell if this becomes a mainstay of the festival circuit, it is being billed as a mud free festival but as with all things British the weather may have the last say, April can be scorching or a complete wash out.
