Catfish and the Bottlemen to headline Liverpool Sound City

Liverpool Sound City – GIGsoup Preview

Liverpool Sound City returns with a stella cast of upcoming bands and a few familiar faces

Festival season has crept up on us once again and Liverpool Sound City has somehow managed to make an already impressive line up even more so with the addition of 50+ acts across the two-day music extravaganza on May Bank Holiday weekend.

The award-wining festival was already hosting the likes of hometown headliners and psych-pop pioneers The Coral, following their long awaited comeback, as well as Welsh lads Catfish and the Bottlemen. It’s also fair to say that a city famed for showing support for their local music scene will also be giving local acts the chance to showcase their talent. Liverpool musicians such as Circa Waves, Feral Love, Johnny Sands and recent Glastonbury Emerging Talent winners She Drew the Gun will be taking part in what promises to be a fantastic weekend of music.

While the list of new additions focuses mainly on emerging and up-and-coming artists, it also includes the addition of fun, London pop-folk band Eliza and the Bear as SESAC headliners on the Sunday, as well as Violet Skies and Glasgow’s rock outfit White.

The full list of these new additions completing an extra special line up are listed below:
