The Killers have been announced as the sixth and final act to headline British Summer Time festival at London’s Hyde Park. The Las Vegas indie group will take the stage on Saturday, July 8, and will most probably perform new material alongside classics. They released ‘Battle Born’ four years ago, and started recording their long-awaited fifth album in September with U2 producer Jacknife Lee. Last week, they revealed the songs sound “heavier than anything we’ve ever done”.

Joining them is an impressive line of supporting acts, including Tears for Fears in their first London gig in 12 years, Elbow, who will release their new album on February 3, and White Lies.
Tickets will go on general sale on January 27.
Previously announced headliners are: Phil Collins (30th June), Green Day (1st July), Justin Bieber (2nd July), Kings Of Leon (6th July), and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (9th July).
