Sheffield indie kings Milburn and psychedelic-rockers Temples were just two additions to the bill for the second edition of Derby’s inner-city 2Q Festival, to take place on 1 April 2017.
Also, coming to the East Midlands this Spring are one-to-watch VANT, world champion beatboxer SK Shlomo and the soul stylings of local boy Jamie Joseph. This is on-top of the 24 acts announced in the build-up to the festive season in the unique advent calendar gifting fans with a new band each day.

Bands like Pulled Apart by Horses, Black Honey, Hooton Tennis Club and Kagoule provide swathes of variety and talent throughout the bill, a theme reflected across the entirety of the festival with its creative settings.
The nature of this inner-city festival sees it take place over a number of different venues across Derby’s town centre, with outdoor stages (Bar One), haunted bars (Ye Olde Dolphin Inne), a seated theatre (Guildhall Theatre) and a venue that’s seen the likes of Frank Turner, Foals and the Charlatans pass through its doors (The Venue).
Other artists on the bill include: John Power, Tom Grennan, Asylums, Empire, Matt Henshaw, Shvpes, Tall Ships, Lewis Watson, Francobollo, Sunflower Thieves and the Herron Brothers.
Following the rousing success of last year’s debut edition of the festival, new venues have been added to take the total number to ten, meaning more bang for punters books, on what promises to be a fantastic day for the city of Derby.
