Following up on Hospitality in the Park, GIGsoup is excited for Hospitality’s latest addition to their festival calendar, Shockout. Taking in place at the Royal Bath & West Showground, we’ve put together 5 acts not to miss.
J Hus had a giant 2017, with the release of his breakthrough album Common sense. Including tracks Did you see and Bouff Daddy. He’s leading the wave of British artists fusing Caribbean, West African, and British musical styles together and creating a sound that has resonated across the country.
My Nu Leng
My Nu Leng continue to dominate the festival circuit, with their genre spinning creative sets. From drum and bass to trap, from bassline to grime, this pair literally spin it all. The duo are a mainstay at London’s Fabric, and fast becoming a mainstay at Hospitality events. Their skill in weaving it all together is a must at Shockout.
Etherwood, has become Med School’s biggest name, with his album releases Etherwood and Blue Leaves. Etherwood’s style of liquid drum and bass is smooth, ethereal and hard not to fall in love with. His signature live style of heavy versions of his liquid classics pulls in crowds at each hospitality event.
Kasra & Randall
Aside from all the current hottest talent being present. More old school names will also be present. Bringing a big slice of Jungle to the festival, Randall will play alongside Critical Sound’s head, Kasra. For lovers of jungle, get yourself down to their set.
If you like it heavy, Metrik is an act to not miss. With a distinct euphoric sound his albums. His sets are an extension of his producing style. Playing a strong mix of hard hitting drum and bass classics with a creative flair. His sets will knock down any festival crowd.
