Ingrid Michaelson is a renowned singer songwriter. She wrote the Cheryl hit ‘Parachute’ Ingrid recently played a sold out show at London’s Union Chapel and has built up and large and loyal fan base on both sides of the pond.
Welcome Ingrid. We are delighted to be speaking with you today. How did growing up in New York influence your music?
Living in a city with so much culture and art was infused into my upbringing and then into my own art. The feeling of pushing possibilities was always present. My parents were very artistic and supportive.
Tell us what you enjoyed about working with Jason Mraz on your new single ’Christmas Valentine’
Jason is just the kindest person. He was a dream to work with. His willingness to be collaborative and open was awesome.

How did you come to be involved in the upcoming musical adaptation of ‘The Notebook?’ How’s it going?
One of the producers Kevin McCollum asked me years ago! It’s going amazingly well. We have a few workshops coming up and our out of town in Chicago this fall.
