‘We Are -Z-‘  announce their arrival on the scene by unleashing a spectacular and provocative debut track ‘Airbrush’ on November 17th. It’s a cracking three and a half minutes of sublime indie-rock.

The song attacks the vicious butchery of the plastic surgeon’s knife and its virtual equivalent, the airbrush artist, twisting and manipulating the image of perfection regardless of the insecurity and neuroses it visits on society. “White out your teeth,” sings frontman Gabby, “you’ll get the cutest aphrodite nose,” painting a nightmarish picture where the compulsion to chase unattainable beauty becomes all consuming – and utterly destructive.

The trio have been locked away in their West London studio for the past six months, emerging only occasionally to road test the material they’ve been honing at a handful of well received low key gigs at some of the capital’s cooler watering holes. ‘Airbrush’ is the first in a series of tracks scheduled for release over the next few months, in the run up to ‘We Are -Z-‘s first album, due midway through 2015.
