Fresh faced Merthyr Tydfil band ‘Pretty Vicious’ have already graced our ‘Track of the Day’ spot this year. Debut single ‘Cave Song’ introduced the band to an almost baying public who demanded more. Record companies the length of the UK picked up on this and a fist fight ensued until Virgin EMI managed to get the 4 piece to sign on the dotted line.
Today’s Track of the Day ‘National Plastics’ is the first track the band have released on the label and it’s quite simply four and a half minutes of unapologetic rock that lends a chord or two from early Oasis.

September will see the young band, based in the small town of Merthyr Tydfil in Wales and fronted by 18 year old Brad Griffiths, embarking on their second UK headline tour dates as well as playing Reading, Leeds and Jersey Live festival. It follows a headline show at the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury as well a UK tour in April which included two sold out shows at the London Barfly.
