The band describe the tune as an anti-Valentines day track. “We’re releasing ‘Beat The Love’ on Valentine’s Day and hopefully it’ll be a bit of an antidote to the cloying rubbish we’re all suckers for (if we’re honest). ‘Beat The Love’ has been our set closer during the ‘Punch’ tours – but as we wrote it after the recording, it wasn’t on the album. So, we went back into the studio with Danton in December and the result will be the single on our video compilation mini-album Punched. It’s sort of a full stop to that period of time; this year we start recording our next album“.

It’s been an incredible 12 months for the band. Their latest indie-pop album ‘Punch‘ gave us three ear-worms in the form of ‘Lent‘, Moscow‘ and the quite stunning ‘Agoraphobia‘ and their live set is certainly worth a look.
